Gulf Winds Credit Union Donates $20,000 to 2026 Cat Country Cares for Kids Radiothon
August 14, 2026

Gulf Winds Credit Union furthered their commitment to supporting the community through a $20,000 donation to the 2026 Cat Country for Kids Radiothon, hosted in partnership with the Ascension Sacred Heart Foundation. All proceeds from the event directly benefit the Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart.
As the region’s only pediatric hospital, the Studer Family Children's Hospital provides care for the community’s youngest patients in neonatal care and specialized pediatric services. This donation from Gulf Winds provides more than money towards the Cat Country for Kids’ mission. It provides hope, healing, and a healthier future for all children in need across the Gulf Coast.
“As a dad, I understand how important it is that every child has access to healthcare,” said Daniel Souers, President and CEO of Gulf Winds Credit Union. “The Cat Country Cares for Kids Radiothon is a meaningful way to support local families when they need it most. This is the kind of impact that makes our community stronger.”
Since 2013, Gulf Winds has donated more than $224,000 to support children’s health initiatives through its ongoing partnership with the Foundation. This contribution reflects the credit union’s commitment to growing for good and creating meaningful change for the communities they serve.
“Community support makes an immeasurable difference in the care we’re able to provide children and families,” said Adrienne Maygarden, President of the Ascension Sacred Heart Foundation. “We’re grateful for Gulf Winds’ continued investment in our community and their commitment to ensuring children have access to the care they need close to home.”
