Gulf Winds is proud to recognize Mark Ivester and Sherry Shipp Smith for their service and welcome them to the role of Volunteer Emeritus, effective July 2026.

Mark has been a leader across the credit union industry for over 30 years, spending time with the League of Credit Unions and serving on the Gulf Winds Credit Union Supervisory Committee. His contributions have helped shape the success of Gulf Winds while creating a positive impact for our members and communities.

Sherry began her journey with the credit union as a part of the educational committee in the 1970s. In 2002, she became a part of the Gulf Winds Credit Union Supervisory Committee. With over 50 years of dedication to the credit union movement, her impact on Gulf Winds, our members, and our communities has been profound.

As Emeritus Officials, they will act as advisors to the Board of Directors. We are so thankful for everything they have done for Gulf Winds and are excited to see them succeed as Volunteer Emeritus Officials.
