With hammers in hand and hearts full of purpose, Gulf Winds team members joined forces with Pensacola Habitat for Humanity on October 1st, volunteering on-site in the construction of a home for a family in need. In addition to hands-on participation, Gulf Winds also donated $20,000 in support of the annual Women Build event.

This year’s build was made especially meaningful with the “Written in the Walls” initiative, launched by Gulf Winds in the weeks leading up to the event. Members in Alabama, Pensacola, and Tallahassee signed words of encouragement on vibrant pink framing boards displayed in Gulf Winds lobbies. On build day, those heartfelt messages became part of the home’s foundation, offering lasting support to its future owners.

Women Build came to Pensacola Habitat in 2014 and has continued to grow, increasing donations and volunteers every year. This year, the event raised over $154,000 in donations towards homes for women and families in need.
