Making a Lasting Impact in November
November 26, 2025
This November has been a month full of building a stronger community together. Read below to see the inspiring ways we’re making a difference.
Member Appreciation Day | November 1
Member Appreciation Day brought our community together for a fun-filled celebration featuring delicious grilled food, lively games, exciting prize raffles, and great live music. It was a day to connect, laugh, and enjoy time with neighbors and Gulf Winds team members. We’re grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate with us!
Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival | November 8
At the Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival, Our Chief Lending Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and Chief Technology Officer had the privilege of awarding the Best of Show Prize to this year's outstanding recipient, Jonah Ballard, a painter from Arizona. This was Jonah's first year participating in the three-day, juried art show that draws more than 200 of the nation's best artists to Pensacola. We can't wait to celebrate creativity together again next year.
Beyond School Walls | November 13
Gulf Winds team members completed their second session of the Beyond School Walls program with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida. Through this partnership, high school juniors and seniors are gaining personalized mentorship in life skills, career pathways, and other topics through monthly sessions. Both sessions fostered connections through fun icebreakers, inspiring speakers, personality tests, and practicing interview skills. We're grateful to be part of such an enriching community program where our team can give back in an empowering way.
Fill the Mayflower with Manna | November 21
Gulf Winds Credit Union donated $20,000 to Manna during their annual Fill the Mayflower Event, one of the community’s most impactful annual food-drive events. We’re honored to be an integral part of Manna’s efforts to create thriving, healthy neighborhoods. This year’s donation helps strengthen Manna’s ability to deliver consistent, sustainable hunger relief, supporting programs that ensure children, families, and seniors have dependable access to nutritious food year-round.
Miracle on Palafox | November 23
Gulf Winds Credit Union partnered with Cat Country 98.7 to host the annual Miracle on Palafox concert at the Saenger Theater in downtown Pensacola. This year, the acoustic concert featured standout performances from country artists Thompson Square, Mackenzie Carpenter, and Vincent Mason. All proceeds from the show were directly donated to United Way, in support of their Christmas Wishes initiative, which helps local children and families in need have gifts under their Christmas tree. We are so grateful to be part of this festive event benefiting children and families in need.
Your membership enables us to continue these initiatives, living out the credit union philosophy of People Helping People. Thank you for being part of our journey to give back and strengthen our community.
