Our top priority is the health and well-being of our members, our employees and the communities we serve.
We promise to do everything we can to keep you safe while providing excellent member service.

We will provide updates with notifications on this page, our Digital Banking Platform, our Facebook page, and through email, if and when appropriate.

 

Masks are optional in our branch lobbies. However, if you plan to visit, please follow our safety guidelines.

You can also limit your time in the branch by making an appointment or by taking advantage of our drive-thru services.

Drive-Thru Services

We now offer many solutions in our drive-thrus that have traditionally required our members to come inside.

  • Deposits/withdrawals up to $5k
  • Debit card orders/pre-order pick-ups
  • Cash advances or Automated Clearing House (ACH) money transfers
  • Cashier’s checks / Counter checks (temporary checks) / Personal checks
  • Account closure / Account changes* / Name changes*
  • Online & Mobile banking reset
  • Fraud reporting and resolution*
  • Notary services*
  • Statement or check copies (up to 3)*
  • Wire transfers less than $5,000*

*These transactions tend to take a bit longer to complete and you may be asked to pull into a parking spot until your request has been completed. Account changes require all account owners to be present and sign. Name changes require unexpired government-issued photo ID and social security card with updated name.

We understand that the COVID crisis is impacting the finances of many of our members. We have a variety of resources available should you need support.

Mortgage Assistance — Mortgage loan payment assistance is being determined on a case-by-case basis. Please call us to discuss potential options.

Credit Cards — We are providing expedited approvals for new credit cards and credit limit increases and/or other options for your existing Gulf Winds credit card.

Anything+ Personal Loans  — Our Anything+ Personal Loan gives you options. These loans can be used for anything, are funded fast, and allow you 45 days with no payments. Apply online or call us now at 1.800.650.6328.

Digital Banking
It's easy to access your accounts online via our Digital Banking tools. If you haven’t enrolled in Digital Banking, it only takes a few minutes. Just download the Gulf Winds app in the App Store or Google Play. These tools provide 24/7 access to your accounts and give you the ability to bank without a trip to the branch.

Digital Wallets
We offer contactless transactions by connecting your Gulf Winds debit card and credit cards to Apple Pay®, Samsung Pay® and Google Pay™.

We will be taking the following measures to protect the health and safety of our members and team members: 

Face Masks
Masks are optional when members enter any of our branch lobbies. You will be asked to momentarily lower your mask for security purposes.

COVID-19 Symptoms
If you're experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please do not come inside the branch. We will work with you through other channels to provide the service you need. 

Social Distancing
Please maintain a social distance of 6 feet between yourself and our other members and team members. Note that we will be limiting the number of members inside the branches at one time. This may result in members having to wait outside. Please also limit the number of people you bring with you into the branch.

Scammers are taking advantage of people’s fears surrounding Coronavirus. They are setting up websites selling fake products, offering medical advice to take personal information and creating fake charities to steal donations. Be wary of  emails, phone calls and messages that request your confidential info.

Guided by the credit union philosophy People Helping People, Gulf Winds recently donated $100,000 through the Gulf Winds Cares program to combat the spread of COVID-19 and mitigate its effects on our community.

Gulf Winds donated $65,000 to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola to purchase personal protective equipment (PPE) for its staff. This donation is equivalent to the cost of one month’s worth of supplies, under normal circumstances. Hospitals in our Alabama service area received $8,000 to purchase PPE. 

The remaining $27,000 went to first responders across our service area. They were provided protective equipment including hazmat suits, N95 masks, cotton masks, gloves, cleaning products and over 100 gallons of hand sanitizer. The Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office Community Fund received $5,000 to provide meals to seniors in need.

Yes. Even with the current economic uncertainty, you can rest assured that your funds at Gulf Winds are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration up to $250,000 per member. Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are federally insured up to an additional $250,000.

Yes. Our branch lobbies are open and can provide walk-up notary services. Notary services are also available in the first lane of our drive-thru or by appointment

We can process wire transfers in our lobbies, through our Contact Center and in the first lane of our drive-thrus.

Gulf Winds partnered with Jack Henry's Biz2Credit program to make applying for PPP funds easy. As of May 5, 2021, PPP funding has been exhausted and new applications are no longer being accepted.
