Our history and legacy remain a very important part of who we are and have brought us to this moment. While our name is changing, we will continue operating as a credit union with the same commitment to our members that has defined us for more than 70 years.

Yes. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in one of the 75 counties we serve throughout Florida, Southern Alabama, and Southern Georgia.

Most Gulf Winds branding will be updated in Spring 2027, including the look of our signage, ATMs, and in-branch experiences. You will also see updates to our digital banking platform, website, social channels, advertising, and printed materials. Until then, we will continue operating as Gulf Winds Credit Union.

Our commitment to serving you remains unchanged. Throughout this transition to TruWorth Credit Union, you'll continue to receive the same personalized service, trusted guidance, and support you rely on today.

There will be no changes to your accounts, and no action is needed on your part. Your member number, account details, and access to services will not be impacted. Any automatic payments or direct deposits will also continue without interruption. 

Yes, our current website, gogulfwinds.com, will automatically redirect to the new URL in the Spring of 2027. All services across the website, including your digital banking access, will functionally remain the same. We will provide details on how to easily navigate the new site, highlighting the tools and information you use the most well in advance of this change.

Yes. All existing debit/credit cards and checks with Gulf Winds branding will remain valid. These items will only be replaced upon expiration or if they are lost/stolen. As we move forward, we will share communication regarding any changes.

Yes, we want to assure you that your deposits will continue to be federally insured by the NCUA, with coverage of up to $250,000, ensuring the safety and security of your funds.

No, our hours and days of operation will remain the same, ensuring continued convenience and accessibility for our members. Once our partnership with Madison County Community Bank is finalized, you'll have access to an expanded branch network, making it even easier to bank where it's most convenient for you.

No, the name change and rebranding initiative will not cost members anything. We have carefully planned for this change without impacting member services or fees as part of our long-term strategy. Timing also makes sense as several of our branches and signs are due for updates. We're excited to create a more modern and welcoming experience for everyone.

There will be no impact on your rates and fees due to these transitions. Fees will remain low, and our loan and deposit rates will continue to be competitive. Rates and fees are subject to market conditions and creditworthiness, and any such changes will be communicated in advance.

No. We're not closing any locations, and you can still transact at both the Madison and Perry, Florida locations that you currently use.
