Emergency Assistance Offerings

We understand that the Coronavirus crisis is impacting the finances of many of our members. We have a variety of resources available should you need support.

Loan Deferment — We are prepared to assist you on your Gulf Winds loan payments. We're offering a 90 day deferment program on all consumer loans. To get started please fill out the Deferred Loan Payment Request Form. Please note deferments apply to consumer loan products only. Real estate and credit card loans are not eligible. Approval may be subject to other terms and conditions and is available to members in good standing only.

Mortgage Assistance — Mortgage loan payment assistance is being determined on a case-by-case basis. Please call us to discuss potential options.

Credit Cards — We are providing expedited approvals for new credit cards and credit limit increases and/or other options for your existing Gulf Winds credit card.

Anything+ Personal Loans — We’ve dropped the rate of our personal loans to help you during this critical time with rates as low as 4.90%2 APR for up to 60 months. These loans can be used for anything, funded quickly and allow you 90 days with no payments. Apply online or call us now at 1.800.650.6328.

Fee-Free ATMs — You have access to our network of 85,000 fee-free ATMs. Find an ATM nearby using our ATM locator.

Our Contact Center can be reached at 800.650.6328, Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 7:00 pm CST and Saturday, 8:00 am - 2:00 pm CST. 

Closing branches and branch lobbies is a preventative measure to protect the health of our members and team members in consensus with recommendations from national health officials. We will offer as many of our normal lobby services from the drive-thrus as possible. Some services may not be available in the drive-thru, but we will work with you to find a solution.

With digital tools from Gulf Winds, you can check your balance, see account activity, transfer funds, deposit checks, pay bills and much more.

Online Banking: You can access your accounts online via Online Banking. If you haven’t enrolled in online banking, it only takes a few minutes.

Mobile Banking: Members are encouraged to download the Gulf Winds app in the App Store or Google Play. These tools provide 24/7 access to your accounts and give you the ability to bank without a trip to the branch.

Mobile Check Deposit: Use your smartphone or tablet to easily and securely deposit checks. Watch our quick video to learn more.

Digital Wallets: Options for contactless transactions include connecting your Gulf Winds debit card and credit cards to Apple Pay®, Samsung Pay® and Google Pay™.

Annual Business Meeting: The Annual Business Meeting, originally scheduled for April 2, 2020, has been postponed.

Member Appreciation Event: The Member Appreciation Event, originally scheduled for April 3, 2020, has been postponed.

With the current economic uncertainty, you can rest assured that your funds at Gulf Winds are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration up to $250,000 per member. What we’re doing to ensure your safety and the safety of our team:

  • Following preventative practices as directed by the CDC.
  • Encouraging our team members to stay at home if they are sick.
  • Directing our janitorial staff to do deep and consistent cleaning.
  • Moving group meetings to video conferences
  • Practicing social distancing and keeping 6-foot distances between team members.
  • Limiting team member travel.

Scammers are taking advantage of people’s fears surrounding Coronavirus. They are setting up websites selling bogus products, offering medical advice to take personal information, and creating fake charities to steal donations. Which branches are currently open and what are the hours?

All branch lobbies will be closed until further notice but branch drive-thrus will be open during regular business hours. The Monroe Street Branch in Tallahassee is closed until further notice.

When does Gulf Winds anticipate the branch lobbies will re-open?

Members should set an appointment with our Contact Center to access their safe deposit box.

Are notary services still available?

Yes. Members should set an appointment with our Contact Center to visit their preferred branch for notary services.

How can I do a wire transfer?

We’re happy to help with wire transfers and can process them through our Contact Center or drive-thrus.
