ACH Payment Changes: New electronic payment processing regulations will take place on Friday, September 15th. Transactions that are processed through the ACH (Automated Clearing House) could post to your account on the same day the merchant initiates the payment. If you have questions regarding any scheduled, recurring or automatic payments you have with a merchant, you will need to contact them to ask if they will be submitting your payments as Same Day debits. This will not affect any payments set up with Gulf Winds’ Bill Pay Service.
Gulf Winds News
Gulf Winds proudly announces it is once again a top performer, earning a coveted 5-Star rating from BauerFinancial, the Nation’s Premier Bank and Credit Union Rating Firm. (A five-star rating indicates that this credit union excels in areas of capital adequacy, profitability, asset quality and much more.) Gulf Winds has earned and maintained this top rating for 91 consecutive quarters, earning it even higher accolades. Gulf Winds is a “Sustained Superiority” credit union for maintaining a 5-Star rating longer than 90% of the industry.
“Gulf Winds is a prime example of a credit union excelling at what it was created to do,” explains Karen L. Dorway, president of BauerFinancial. “Its common bond and mutual ownership give its employees and members the same personal investment in the credit union. It makes decisions locally, often for neighbors and friends; and it focuses on quality as opposed to quantity. That focus has paid off for both Gulf Winds and its membership.”
Financial strength has been the priority for Gulf Winds since its inception in 1954. Through conveniently located branch offices in Atmore, Brewton, Cantonment, Gulf Breeze, Milton, Pensacola and Tallahassee, Gulf Winds has been a source of pride for its members for over 60 years. Gulf Winds is a member of the NCUA and an Equal Housing Lender.
