Please beware of any phone calls or emails you receive requesting your personal information. Never share personal information, and remember Gulf Winds will never contact you asking to verify sensitive. Please read the following information to ensure the uninterrupted use of your credit card:
Receipt of New Visa Credit Card: Your new Gulf Winds Credit Card will arrive by Saturday, September 24, 2016. Your new card will include a new number, new expiration date, and a new 3-digit CVV code.
Activation of New Visa Credit Card: When you receive your new credit card, sign the back of your card immediately. You can activate your card on or after Monday, September 26, 2016. Please activate your card by calling the number shown on the label of the new card. After your card is activated, you may begin using your new card. If you have trouble activating your new credit card, we are here to help, so please call us at 1.800.650.6328 during our business hours.
Please Note: You will not be able to activate or use your new card before Monday, September 26, 2016.
Personal Identification Number (PIN): You WILL NOT receive a new PIN letter in the mail. You will be able to conveniently set up a PIN of your choosing after your card is activated. Once you have activated your new credit card, call 866-791-6842 and choose Option 3. Be sure to have your new credit card in hand when calling to set up your PIN.
EMV Chip Protection: Your new card will include a fresh new look and EMV chip protection. The EMV chip helps to prevent incidents of credit card fraud and enhances security. Visit GoGulfWinds.com/EMV for more information.
Online and Mobile Banking Access: Beginning Monday, September 26, 2016, you will have access to your credit card alongside your other Gulf Winds accounts through your existing Online and Mobile Banking account. You can view recent transactions, make immediate payments, and set up recurring payments just like your other Gulf Winds accounts. Payment Due Date: Your Credit Card payment due date is included on your monthly statement.
Future Credit Card Payments: The easiest way to pay your credit card is through a one-time or recurring funds transfer in Gulf Winds Online and Mobile Banking. You can begin using this method to make your credit card payments on Monday, September 26, 2016.
Update Auto Payments and Recurring Billers: Because your new credit card will have a new number, expiration date and 3-digit CVV code, your automatic transactions (Amazon, iTunes, etc.) and recurring billers (Netflix, car insurance, gym membership, etc.) will require your new card information. Please review your monthly transactions to identify any merchants you may need to update your information with.
Please Note: Some merchants may be part of a Visa program called Visa Account Updater. This allows your stored credit card information to be updated automatically. If you contact a merchant to update your information and you find it is already updated, don’t be alarmed. They have subscribed to the Visa Account Updater program.
Credit Card Statements: All Gulf Winds credit card holders will receive a printed statement for the months of August and September 2016. If you are currently signed up for credit card e-Statements, you will receive your first credit card e-Statement notification for your October 2016 statement.
Apple PayTM: Good news. You will not have to update your new credit card in Apple Pay. However, if you want to see the new credit card designs, you will have to remove and update your card with your new information.
Online and Mobile Banking Access: Beginning on Friday, September 23, 2016, you WILL NOT be able to access your credit card information through online and mobile banking. You will be able to see your credit card account in real-time through online and mobile banking beginning Monday, September 26, 2016.
Credit Card Payments: Beginning on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, you will no longer be able to schedule any payments through online and mobile banking. Gulf Winds will ONLY accept payments in branches and through our Contact Center during the conversion, specifically Wednesday, September 21 through Saturday, September 24, 2016. Any payments made during the conversion period will not reflect in your available balance until Monday, September 26. Payments made during the conversion period will reflect the actual payment date once posted to your account. Balances, Credit Limit, and Interest Rate: Your existing balances will transfer to your new credit card, and your credit limit and interest rate will remain the same.
Rewards Points: If you have a Rewards credit card, points earned with your old card will automatically transfer to your new card.
Credit Card Statements Update: All Gulf Winds credit card holders will receive a printed statement for the months of August and September 2016. If you are currently signed up for credit card e-Statements, you will receive your first credit card e-Statement notification for your October 2016 statement.
